I had the pleasure of trying the bison/cheddar/jalapeno, rattlesnake/rabbit, and Hungarian sausages at Wursthaus, and each one was bursting with flavor. The unique combinations of ingredients and seasonings made each bite a culinary delight. The sides, especially the Belgian fries, were the perfect accompaniment to the savory sausages.
Overall, my experience at Wursthaus was exceptional. The friendly service, lively ambiance, and delicious food made it a memorable dining experience. I can't wait to go back and try more of their exotic sausage options and tasty sides. If you're in the Santa Ana area, I highly recommend stopping by Wursthaus for a delicious meal with a twist.
“ Food was good, fun setting the service was good but they didn't have a lot of the flavours that were on the board. ”
“ This is really just one of the coolest places to hang in this part of Orange County to get something a bit different from the usual food that this area is known for. While I'm not too crazy about crowds and this place can definitely get crowded during the peak hours, it's pretty chill during the off hours. And therein comes my main complaint, which is that the wait time could get pretty gnarly for what seems like a pretty simple item. I imagine it's more due to being backed up and everything being cooked fresh, but the frustration is absolutely valid if you're looking for a quick service meal, which despite its appearance this place is not. Even during normal times except around twenty minutes, so it's not a place for a quick grab and go meal. The exotic meats are always fun, and it always nice to have a bit of flair to the more conventional sausage, but the Happy Hour deals all day Sunday are awesome, especially when Downtown Santa Ana is typically more chill compared to the hustle and bustle when there are festivals on Saturday. TIP: Just be mindful of the wait. ”
“ The sausages are always so amazing ! Any spicy sausages/ones with paprika have a good amount of heat to it ! My fav so far is the duck and cilantro. It's good that they have other exotic options (snake, rabbit, alligators) which it's not common to find in the area ! THE BEST FRIES EVER ! Always come out so hot and fresh ! Been here a couple of times and will def be back for more ! Ambiance: might get dark. Service: nothing to complain :) ”
“ Good ambiance with the bar in the back. Loved the fruli beer ! Service was great both times I visited. Many vegan options ( though you may want to check if their carmelized onions have butter ) I didn't check but over all solid options. 4 vegan sausage options looks like beyond Italian and field roast for other two options. Fries are sooo good ! Also curry ketchup my favorite !! ”
“ Post Spartan feast at Wursthaus Santa Ana. With so many choices, I had to go for the sampler platter. I picked the bison/cheddar/jalepeno, rattlesnake/rabbit, and the Hungarian with grilled jalepenos, mushrooms, bell peppers, and sauerkrout on the side. While all of the sausages were delicious, the rattlesnake and rabbit was my favorite. It had such a unique flavor and perfect texture. The sides were a great addition. The grilled jalepenos were hot! I was in tears of joy from every scrumptious, spicy bite. ”
